Vitrectomy Solutions proudly offers “ Ask A Nurse ,” a special forum providing our patients with appropriate information to ensure a comfortable and pleasant recovery after Vitrectomy Surgery.  This service available to our current and former patients and/or their family members are welcome to ask questions and get answers from a Registered Nurse who has assisted in many Vitrectomy surgeries and helped patients during their facedown recovery for over 5 years.

We know that questions often arise at times other than a normal 9-5 workday. Our online Register Nurse will send a discreet private email within a 24-40 hour time frame. Our nurse will call all patients with lengthy, medically specific questions. And as always, Vitrectomy Solutions offers its patients a 24-hour on-call Registered Nurse for emergency situations for our current patients and for emergency equipment orders, 1-877-262-7378.

Our lead nurse:
Michelle Peterson, RN, MSN, was co-founder of Vitrectomy Solutions in 1999 and is the current President and Chief Executive Officer. A leading expert in federal and state surgical compliance and associated federal regulations, Ms. Peterson was formerly the chair of the Policy & Procedure Practice Committee for all operating facilities within the Baylor University Medical Center system. A Registered Nurse since 1987, Ms. Peterson was previously Director of Nursing for a leading ambulatory care facility and spent many years perfecting her craft as a neuro-surgical nurse before leaving clinical nursing to pursue professional medical management interests. Ms. Peterson currently holds certifications in OSHA, CNOR, ACLS, Laser Technology and Radiation Therapy.
